Nominator's project description

Professor Oxland is an international leader in the field of spine biomechanics whose main achievements have included the research and development of spinal implants, the characterization of the normal and diseased spine, and innovative approaches to spinal cord injury. In Germany, he will work to obtain a better understanding of the phenomena of the adjacent level syndrome, which is important to develop new surgical strategies to treat spinal problems.
